Terratec EWS64

The EWS 64 XL from Terratec was my first sound card for the computer. I think I got got it in 1998 as a birthday and christmas present. It costs about 1000 DM.

This is an expansion card for the ISA bus, which was already outdated at the time and was slowly being replaced by the PCI architecture. The advantage, however, was the full compatibility with DOS, so that the old classic games benefited from the good MIDI wavetable sound.
